My Collection!

So about a month ago, I started to learn how to knit and crochet, and so far I've made some pretty cool things. I've obviously gotten better the more I've done it, but it honestly takes up such less time and its for a much cheaper price.

I prefer crochet over knitting. I think it looks better and it definitely takes less time. Also, you have more styles you can create with crochet, plus it's a lot easier I feel.

Here are the scarves I've made so far. They're all crocheting, and I did make a knitted one too, however, I'm not going to show it because it turned out terrible. It was the first one I made and it curled up :( boo.

Also, the pink one in the bottom left corner, I actually made that by a technique called "arm knitting". It's quite simple, actually. It takes about 30 minutes (the first time takes a little bit longer). There's tutorials on how to make all of these and they take like no time. The only one that took really long was the black one in the bottom right corner, but it turned out super cute!

Forever 21 Mini Haul

Earlier today I went out shopping because I needed to buy my friend a gift for her birthday. Turns out, I ended up buying stuff for myself - I just couldn't resist.

The first thing I bought were these really warm printed leggings.

They have like grey fuzzyness on the inside, but it's not overbearing. I haven't worn them outside, but they really do keep me warm inside. Those were $11.80.

The next thing I bought was a cute little make-up bag to stick in my purse. That was $6.80. It's white with gold circles on them.

Then I bought a nail polish. The color is Sage and it looks sort of like a mint green, but a little darker. It's kind of hard to tell from the picture, but that was $2.80.

Then I bought an eyebrow pencil in the color light brown, which I believe was only $.99. Total bargin.

I also got a gel liner for $.99, which makes sense because there's not really a whole lot in the container.

Now, I normally don't really use these because sometimes I feel like they can be a bit annoying, but they were $.99 so I thought, why not.

They're little studs that you can apply to your nails after you put on nail polish and they're not very tall, or stick out, so I thought I'd try them.

The last thing I got was a shirt.

It's black and sort of a greyish white striped shirt. The sleeves kind of puff out at the shoulder and go down 3/4 of the way. Then it had a cute little lace collar and I just thought it was really cute! This was only $8.99 which was a pretty nice price I thought.

So that's what I bought on my little outing, I also bought my friend a lot of things as well and yeah!

*Note: I am in no way showing off what I have bought, just simply showing you in case you're interested or would like to buy it yourself.

Getting Crafty :)

So I've been out of school for a couple extra days due to snow and wind chill factors, so I made a lot of little ear warmer headband things! I think they're really cute and they're quite simple to make - but they might take sort of long, depending on what style you want.

I made a few different types, some are just normal and some have bows. It's great because you can make it how snug you want it, or how thick you want it and what color!

Here are the ones I made :

Then I also got a little carried away and tried to make one with cat ears. It didn't turn out the best that I wanted, but I still like it. It's quite cute. I think just next time I'll have to use thicker yarn than what I did!

The flash kind of made it look weird, but it's just a plain black ear warmer hat. I actually knitted this one, the others I crocheted. I also made some scarves that I'll try and take pictures and upload later! They're really simple to make! If you want to try, you can just ask me, maybe I'll make a video or something!

Recent Buys

So I recently just bought a few things at the store and I absolutely love them! These are all purchasable at any drug store or super market. (I just bought mine at Meijer if you have one).

One thing was Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray.

It's really great at giving your hair nice volume and texture which I love! And it smells great too :) Sort of like the beach with a little coconut smell to it. It's great for if you don't really have time to do anything with your hair, you just spray some of this in, give it a few scrunches, and you're good to go!

Now, I also bought a nail polish. It's Fiji by Essie, which I currently have on my nails.

Some people say it really only looks good if you have a decent tan if you've just been away on a holiday. But, I'm quite pale and I still think it looks super pretty on! Now, obviously it's not a winter color, but I still think it's nice :) It's sort of a lighter pinkish color that looks darker once you put on about 2 coats on. Also this picture is not the best at showing what it really looks like, but I just really like it!

The last thing I bought was a liquid liner. Now, it has absolutely nothing on the container, so I don't know the exact name, but it was L'Oreal in the color Black.

This is the first liquid eye liner I've bought myself so I'm no quite sure how to use it or how it looks. This one sort of looks like gel when you put it on, or maybe I just put a little too much on. I actually like it, I mean I haven't tried any others, but I really like how liquid eyeliner doesn't smear. I use to use gel or pencil and after awhile, it would end up on my upper lid! The only thing I don't like about it is the brush. It's a longer one but it's a little thicker than I thought it would be so it's kind of hard to apply, but I should get use to it I guess.
